International Students
"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page." - St. Augustine
Applying to college or graduate school in the United States - Let us help you find the colleges and universities that fit you the best.
College Planning Services, Inc. will help international students:
- Research college and university options

- Prepare for interviews
There are aspects of the American college system that international students should keep in mind.
- The college/university calendar usually begins in August or September and continues through May or June. It is a good idea for international students to enter U.S. universities in the fall because most new students enter at this time, and there are orientation programs to help students adjust.
- Many U.S. colleges/universities require both American and international students to take admission tests. If you need to take one or more of these exams (i.e. the TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT) make sure you register for each exam that you need.
- If English is not your native language, it is natural to be concerned about studying in the United States. Many colleges/universities have people in place to help international students adjust and make the most of out studying in the United States.
Our staff has extensive experience working with international students and ESL students. We have helped students from many countries including India, Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Nigeria.
Applying to either undergraduate or graduate school in the US should not be overly stressful for international students. Telephone College Planning Services, Inc., at 914-747-1760 or email us at international@collplan.com for more information.
Given the nature of the admissions process and the selectivity of many educational institutions, we cannot guarantee admission to any institution.
